Animal Medical Center is now recommending the Canine H3N8 Influenza Vaccine to all healthy dogs 6 weeks or older.  A booster vaccination is required 2-4 weeks later, then once yearly thereafter.

Dogs at risk for infection are those who:

  • Come from a shelter, rescue center, breeding kennel, or pet store
  • Board at a kennel or go to doggie daycare
  • Attend group and obedience training or "dog kindergarten"/"puppy class"
  • Visit a groomer, dog parks, or engage with other dogs on daily walks
  • Enter dog events
  • Come into contact with other dogs in the waiting room during visits to your veterinary clinic
